I joined Macrovision as President and partner on July 17, 1995 and bought the company because I believed in its mission: provide targeted marketing communications for technology-oriented OEMs and EOEMs that reaches the people who specify their products – the design engineers and system integrators. I’m connected around the industries we serve, and I’m blessed with a talented and hard-working staff that helps me every step of the way. “It’s not my job” is not a phrase we use at Macrovision.

I’ve been doing this for 25 years, all with business-to-business agencies specializing in technology-oriented accounts, and my focus has never wavered. Macrovision is not an all-things-to-all-people agency. But if you need to reach the technical people who make the recommendations on what components go into their companies’ products and systems, talk to us.

 

     
 


From writing a short blurb about a new product, to developing and executing a full-scale marketing communications campaign, there's nothing we at Macrovision can't handle. And if we can't do something ourselves, it's our mission to find the best possible resource out there to meet our clients' needs.

Each day in the B-to-B advertising world brings new tasks to tackle and challenges to overcome. Having great clients with interesting stories to tell and a top-notch team to work with turns those challenges into the greatest rewards. That's what I love about this place.


     
 


I have a unique combination of experience of traditional print and web experience that I bring to Macrovision. I use my knowledge of many graphic programs and creativity to develop custom graphics to fit our individual clients’ look, feel, and image. Effective graphic design and illustration are key to making Macrovision’s clients’ products and services stand out amid the clutter of the marketplace, and to getting their message across clearly.


     
 


Giving our clients a live person who answers the phone is important in this age of recorded “help” menus. So is maintaining the exhaustive and customized media data base that we use for client PR, and tracking every client publicity item and advertisement that appears so they know where their messages are appearing in real time. I also make sure that every publication relevant to any of our clients is coming in here.

 

     
 


Making sure accounts are up to date, bills are paid and all client records are properly maintained is critical to the smooth functioning of the agency. Interfacing with our clients accounts payable and receivable personnel and maintaining detailed records of all agency activities for each Macrovision client is another of the functions I perform on a daily basis.

 

     
 


Macrovision supplements our solid in-house staff with a corps of talented and reliable specialists who provide key services on an as-needed basis. These include photographers, printers, illustrators, technical writers, direct mail houses, trade show & exhibit booth designers/builders, and web site technicians/ISPs. Over an 11-year period, we have identified the very best, and maintain valuable and productive relationships with them. This ensures optimum cost-efficiency for our clients and helps us maximize the impact of every client's budget.
